Wine tasting rooms in the Verde Valley

We list 16 tasting rooms: seven in Cottonwood, six in Jerome and three in Sedona. These are the rooms in town where wine is poured. The vineyards and production sites are a separate list. See wineries for the ten of those, which are mostly out in Cornville and Clarkdale.

The two clusters work differently. Six of Cottonwood’s seven rooms sit within a few flat blocks of North Main Street, so you can park once and walk between them. The seventh is up on Verde Heights Drive and needs the car. Jerome’s six are on Main Street, Hull Avenue and Jerome Avenue in a steep old mining town, where the walking is harder and the parking is the first problem to solve. Hours are unusually well documented here. Thirteen of the 16 publish opening hours on their own site, which is better than most categories on this site. The pattern is afternoon into early evening rather than all day, and most are closed by 6 or 7 in the evening. Tasting rooms also close earlier than restaurants on quiet weekdays, so the last pour often comes sooner than you’d think.
