Using this site means you agree to these terms. They are short and in plain words on purpose.

Some of this is not switched on yet. Posting, accounts and paid listings do not exist on the site today. The parts of these terms that cover them take effect on the day the feature does.
1. What this site is
Verde Valley Directory is an independent directory of events, conditions, places, and businesses in the Verde Valley, Arizona. It is run by one person. It is not affiliated with any town, county, chamber of commerce, or agency, and nothing on it is official.
2. Conditions data is not a promise
Road, trail, weather, fire, and closure information is collected automatically from public sources such as ADOT, the National Weather Service, and the U.S. Forest Service, and is shown with a "last checked" time. It can be late, incomplete, or wrong. Do not rely on it for safety decisions. Check the source agency before you go. We are not liable for anything that happens because a closure, a flood warning, or a road status was missing or out of date here.
3. Listings can be wrong
Hours, prices, and services come from each business's own site or a government record and carry a "last verified" date. They change. Call before you drive. We do not guarantee any business's work, licenses, or conduct; license numbers are shown as found on the state's lookup on the date checked.
4. What you may post
Where the site lets you post reviews, comments, corrections, or events, you agree that what you post:
- is your own honest experience or knowledge,
- is not paid for, traded for, or written on behalf of the business,
- does not include anyone's private information, threats, hate, or spam,
- does not copy someone else's text or photos without the right to do so.
Business owners may not review their own business or a competitor. See the moderation policy for how we handle this.
5. License to what you post
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it you give Verde Valley Directory a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to show it, store it, edit it for length or format, and include it in feeds and the newsletter, for as long as the site exists. You can ask us to delete your posts at any time by emailing support@verdevalleydirectory.com. Photos you upload through the claim flow are covered by the permission you give in that flow.
6. Moderation
We may remove or refuse any post for the reasons in the moderation policy. We do not remove reviews because they are negative. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
7. Claimed listings and sponsors
If you claim a listing, you confirm you own or manage that business. If you buy a featured listing, the advertise page describes what you get. Sponsorship never changes the facts we publish about a business or the reviews it receives. Refunds for featured listings are prorated for the unused time if you ask within 14 days of purchase.
8. Our content
Descriptions, guides, and the site design are ours. You may quote short passages with a link back. You may not copy the directory in bulk or scrape it to build another directory. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL; government data is public domain; photos carry their own credit and license where shown.
9. Links
Links to other sites are for your convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for what is on them. Some are affiliate links; see the disclosures page.
10. No warranty and limit of liability
The site is provided "as is." We make no promise that it is accurate, complete, or always available. To the fullest extent the law allows, Verde Valley Directory and its owner are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on anything on it. If a court finds we are liable anyway, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $50 if you paid nothing.
11. Arizona law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Disputes go to the courts of Yavapai County, Arizona.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top tells you when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
