Wine tasting rooms in Jerome

Jerome pours wine on a hillside. The rooms we list are on Main Street, Hull Avenue and Jerome Avenue. They sit close together on the map, but steep streets and stairs run between them. Comfortable shoes matter more here than in Cottonwood, and so does the parking plan.

Deal with parking before anything else. The Town of Jerome charges $5 to park all day in four areas: the lower lot by the Sliding Jail, the middle lot off Hull Avenue, the east side of Main Street, and the lot across from the Connor Hotel. Fees apply from 10 AM to 4 PM daily, and anyone with a disability placard parks free. Free parking is still available at the large “300 Level” lot on Perkinsville Road, and a free shuttle runs from there into town on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. On a busy weekend, take the shuttle. The paid lots fill up and the streets are narrow.

Go in the afternoon. Among the Jerome rooms with hours on record, the usual opening is 11 AM or noon, and the usual closing is 6 PM, with the latest at 7 PM. Four of the six have recorded hours, and all four are open Sunday. That is a shorter day than Old Town Cottonwood, and it leads to the mistake visitors make most often: showing up at five for a long, easy evening that is nearly over.
