Spiritual in Sedona

Amitabha Stupa is a Buddhist stupa on a hillside in West Sedona, in a small park of pinyon and juniper. It is free, it is outdoors, and anyone may walk up to it whatever they believe. A stupa is a monument rather than a building you go inside, and the custom is to walk around it clockwise. People leave prayer flags. It is one of the quieter places in a town that is not always quiet, and it asks nothing of a visitor except that they be respectful.

The Jewish Community of Sedona and the Verde Valley serves the whole valley rather than Sedona alone, which is what the name says and is worth noting if you are further down toward Cottonwood or Camp Verde.

What this category is, and is not

Sedona has a very large spiritual economy: vortex tours, readings, retreats, healers, energy work. Almost none of it is on this page, and that is deliberate rather than an oversight. We list places, congregations and organizations with an address we can check. We do not list practitioners, we hold no qualifications, and we are not in a position to assess anybody’s claims.

If you are booking a paid session of any kind, that is an ordinary consumer transaction and worth treating like one: ask about cancellation terms before paying, and be careful with packages sold on a first visit.

Elsewhere in the valley

Conventional congregations are under churches rather than here: Sedona has several, and Clarkdale, Cottonwood and Camp Verde have their own, on the churches list and the town pages for Clarkdale and Cottonwood.
