All three post their own schedule, which is not true of every congregation in the valley, so the service times are on their pages and we point you there rather than repeating them here. Times change with the season, with Lent and Advent, and with whoever is available to lead; a schedule copied into a directory goes stale quietly and sends somebody to a locked door.

What else is at these addresses

Two of the three do more than Sunday. Immaculate Conception runs a preschool on the same Bill Gray Road site, licensed for 59 children; it is on our Cottonwood preschools page with its license number. Faith Lutheran shares its Fir Street address with Hilltop Christian Preschool.

That overlap is worth knowing if you are looking at childcare as well as a congregation, because in a town this size they are often the same building and the same people.

The wider valley

Cottonwood’s three are Lutheran, Roman Catholic and United Methodist. Clarkdale adds an Episcopal church and a Catholic mission a few minutes up the road, and there are more across Camp Verde, Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek on the churches list.

If you are new to the valley and shopping for a congregation, the practical note is that everything here is a short drive. Nobody is limited to their own town, and a fifteen-minute drive covers most of the options in the middle of the valley.

Daily Mass is listed at 8:30am on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, noon on Tuesday, 5:30pm on Wednesday, and 9:00am on Friday. On the 2nd Saturday the parish gathers at St. Cecilia's in Clarkdale and on the 3rd at Holy Family in Jerome. Confession and adoration times are posted too. Mountain View United Methodist Church gathers at 901 S. 12th St. in Cottonwood. Its own site posts a Sunday schedule of adult Sunday school at 8:30am and worship at 9:30am, with the service also streamed online for anyone who cannot attend. Reaching out is a listed part of the work: the church runs a food bank and a free meal it calls a picnic in the park. Christian education, women's ministry, and men's ministry each have a page. Meeting times, ward boundaries, and the schedule for weekday activities are not posted here, so call to ask which meetings you are welcome to attend and when they begin. Times often shift between seasons and between the units that share one building, which is why a call beats a guess. Visitors are generally welcome at a meetinghouse, but asking first is polite. Ask also about parking and about entrances if you need step free access to the building.
