Bars in the Village of Oak Creek

JesseLee’s Craft Beer Market, 6446 SR-179 Suite 208, is a beer and wine shop. Bottles and cans to take away. Shops of this kind often pour as well, but it is a different sort of evening from a saloon and worth checking before you arrive expecting one.

The Village is its own place

The Village of Oak Creek sits at the southern end of SR-179, about fifteen minutes below Sedona proper, and it is quieter, more residential and generally cheaper. It has its own trailheads, Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte among them, which are the easiest red rock walks to reach from the Cottonwood and Camp Verde side of the valley without going into Sedona at all.

For an evening, two listings is the honest count here. If you want choice, Sedona is fifteen minutes north with three bars, and Old Town Cottonwood is about forty minutes with a walkable strip of bars, breweries and tasting rooms in half a mile on the flat.

Getting back

SR-179 between here and Sedona is a beautiful road and a dark one after sunset, with deer and elk about. Rideshare coverage in the Village is thin.

The Verde Shuttle between Sedona and Cottonwood costs $2 and runs hourly from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and trips entirely within Sedona are $1. It does not serve the Village, which is the gap to plan around: if you are staying down here and drinking up there, work out the ride home before the first drink rather than after.

Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte trailheads need a Red Rock Pass, currently $5 a day, and their lots stay open to cars rather than closing on shuttle days.
