We list eight tree services: three in Sedona and one each in Camp Verde,
Clarkdale, Cornville, Cottonwood and Verde Village.
This is the most widely spread home-service trade on the site, with eight
companies in six different towns. It is also one where fewer companies work
valley-wide. Only four of the eight say they serve more than one town, so that
spread is doing real work here rather than being a curiosity.
Seven publish opening hours, and all eight have a phone number and a website.
Ask about insurance as well as price. Tree work is the home-service job most
likely to damage something expensive when it goes wrong, and a dropped limb
through a roof is a claim against somebody. Ask who carries the liability
insurance and what happens if the tree does not fall where it was meant to.
Storm and wind damage is seasonal here, and after a bad night every company on
this list is busy at once. If a tree is leaning on something structural, say so
when you call rather than joining the general queue.
About licenses. We checked every company on this page against the Arizona
Registrar of Contractors on 20 September 2026. That lookup works now, and it ran
properly. Two of the eight matched a license, and the registry listed both as
active that day. Where a listing shows a license, the number and the status are
what the registry said on 20 September 2026.
We match a company by its business name, its trading name or its phone number.
The six we could not match are not necessarily unlicensed. A company may be
registered under a different legal name, or recorded at an address in another
town, and plain trimming and removal work often does not need a contractor
license at all. Three companies say on their own websites that they are licensed.
Two of those three are companies we matched. For the third, that is the
company’s own claim and not something we confirmed.
Look the license up yourself at roc.az.gov and ask for the
number on the phone before you hire.
