Rimrock and Lake Montezuma

Rimrock sits off I-17 at exit 293, the same exit as Montezuma Well, which is free to visit and one of the quieter National Park Service sites in the state. That makes these two the natural lunch stop for anybody doing the Well and Montezuma Castle in a morning.

Otherwise this is a spread-out residential community: large parcels, a lot of properties on wells and septic, and not much within walking distance of anything.

Where else

Camp Verde is about fifteen minutes south with considerably more choice, including the wineries. Cornville is fifteen minutes the other way and has four places to eat, three of them within a few hundred yards of each other on Page Springs Road, plus a bistro up beside the creek among the vineyards.
