Clear Creek Campground is a campground in Camp Verde run by USFS. Sites here can be reserved. To get there, take Exit 287 off Interstate 17, then turn onto AZ-260 and drive about 8 miles. Eyesight is the focus of the Cottonwood Lions Club, which its own site says has served the town since 1950. Money raised, for years through recycling aluminum cans, pays for eye exams and eyeglasses for people who cannot afford them, and the club now runs a free clinic housed at the Old Town Mission. Used eyeglasses are collected at donation sites around town, including vision centers, a bank, and a church. Members marked the club's 75th anniversary in 2025.
