Coffee in Sedona is an early business. Where we have hours on record, they run 7 AM to 3 PM. That’s the shape to expect: open before the trailhead crowd, done by mid-afternoon. If you want coffee at five, you’re looking for a restaurant or a wine bar instead.

Most of what we list is small and independent. One is a national chain on the main highway with the long, predictable hours that come with that, and it’s the fallback when everything else has closed. The rest are single locations. Some sit off the highway on side streets rather than out in plain view on 89A, and two of them are cafes that serve a full menu along with the coffee.

Let’s be honest about the limits of this page. We hold opening hours for only two of the seven places on this list, and websites for three. That’s thinner than most categories on this site, and it reflects how these businesses operate rather than any judgment about them. Several of them trade mainly through a phone number and a sign on the door. Call before you drive across town, especially outside the visitor season, when the afternoon closings come earlier.

Sedona traffic is the other thing to plan around. Parking near the highway cafes is tight through the middle of the day, and a coffee stop on the way to a trailhead is far easier at seven in the morning than at eleven. Locals go early for that reason as much as for the coffee.
