Schools in the Verde Valley

We list nine schools: three in Cottonwood, two in Camp Verde, and one each in Cornville, Rimrock, Verde Village and Village of Oak Creek. All nine list a phone number and eight have a website.

The valley has several small districts, not one. Camp Verde, Cottonwood-Oak Creek, Clarkdale-Jerome, Beaver Creek and Sedona-Oak Creek each run their own, and the boundaries don’t always follow the town lines people expect. If you’re moving here, the district matters more than the nearest building, and the district office is the place to confirm which school an address feeds into.

No school publishes opening hours, and that’s fine. The real schedule is term dates, bell times and early-release days, and those live on each school’s own calendar, not in a directory.

This list is incomplete, and we’d rather say so than hide it. We hold quite a few more school records that haven’t met our publishing bar yet, mostly because we haven’t verified enough about them against the school or district’s own site. They’ll show up here as that work gets done. For anything that really matters, like enrollment, boundaries or transportation, go to the district and not to us.
