Landscaping and yard care in the Verde Valley

We list 15 landscaping and yard care companies: five in Cornville, four in Camp Verde, three in Cottonwood, two in Clarkdale and one in Sedona.

This one leans away from the big towns, which is unusual here. Most trades on this site cluster in Cottonwood and Sedona. Landscaping leans to Cornville and Camp Verde, the more rural end of the valley with the larger lots, because that’s where the work is. Twelve of the 15 work in more than one town by our records.

All 15 publish opening hours and all 15 have a website and a phone number, so this is an easy category to work through.

Keep in mind that landscaping covers a lot of ground, from mowing and clean-ups through to irrigation, hardscaping and retaining walls. Where a job crosses over into construction, the licensing question matters a great deal more.

About licenses. We checked every company on this page against the Arizona Registrar of Contractors on 20 September 2026. That lookup works now, and it ran properly. Nine of the 15 matched a license, and the registry listed all nine as active that day. Where a listing shows a license, the number and the status are what the registry said on 20 September 2026.

We match a company by its business name, its trading name or its phone number. A company we could not match is not necessarily unlicensed. It may be registered under a different legal name, or recorded at an address in another town, or the work it does may not need a contractor license in the first place. One of the 15 says on its own website that it is licensed without giving a number. That is the company’s own claim, not something we confirmed.

Before you hire anyone for a job of any size, look the license up yourself at roc.az.gov and ask for the number over the phone.
