Heating and cooling in the Verde Valley

We list 14 heating and air conditioning companies. Six are in Cottonwood, four in Camp Verde, two in Cornville, and one each in Jerome and Sedona.

All 14 publish opening hours, which counts for more in this trade than in most. Summer here is long, and a failed air conditioner is not a job that waits for Monday. The hours we show are the office hours the company publishes. Several of these trades advertise emergency call-out past those hours. That’s a question for the phone, not something we can list.

Seven of the 14 say they work in more than one town. So living in a town with no listing of its own is less of a problem than it looks.

A local note. The valley covers a wide range of elevation and climate, from Camp Verde at around 3,100 feet up to Jerome on the hill. A company used to working at one end isn’t automatically right for the other, and it’s a fair thing to ask about.

About licenses. On 20 September 2026 we checked every company on this page against the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and the lookup now works. We matched seven of the 14 to a license on the state register, and all seven are active. The status we show on a listing is what the register said that day. We match a company by its business name, its trading name or its phone number. A company we could not match is not therefore unlicensed. It may be registered under a different legal name, or in another town, or the work may not need a contractor license at all. One of the 14 says on its own website that it is licensed without giving a number, and that is still the company’s own claim, not something we confirmed. Before you hire anyone for work of any size, look the license up yourself at roc.az.gov and ask for the number on the phone.
