Hotels, motels, and resorts across the Verde Valley

We list 45 hotels, motels, and resorts across the valley. Sedona has the most by a wide margin, 26 of them, which fits, since it’s the main tourist draw. Cottonwood has 8 and Camp Verde 3. Clarkdale, Jerome, and Verde Village have 2 each, and Cornville and Village of Oak Creek have 1 apiece. If you’re here to see the whole valley and not just Sedona, look at the smaller towns. Old Town Cottonwood and Camp Verde both put you closer to Jerome, Clarkdale, and the Verde River.

Chains versus independent: 13 of the 45 are names you’ll recognize. Best Western, Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, Days Inn, Marriott’s Springhill Suites and Courtyard, Hilton, Super 8, and a few resort brands in Sedona. The other 32 are independently run motels, inns, and resorts.

We don’t have rates. Only 3 of the 45 listings carry opening-hours-style data, and not one has a nightly rate on file. Prices and availability move too fast for a directory to keep up with, so every listing sends you to the property’s own site or phone number to book.

Worth knowing about: Cliff Castle Casino Hotel in Camp Verde is run by the Yavapai-Apache Nation, and there’s a good deal more to it than a bed. It has a concert venue, the Stargazer Pavilion, along with an event center, a 21-and-over nightclub, and an RV resort attached, Distant Drums. Outside Sedona proper, it’s one of the bigger draws in the valley.

11 of the 45 are marked dog-friendly on their own sites. Most say nothing either way, so check the listing before you count on it.
