Insurance agents in Cottonwood

There is a structural difference hiding in this short list, and it decides who you should call.

Two of the four are State Farm, under different agents: Brian Bocchino at 101 South Main Street, and Savanna Fudge at 879 Cove Parkway. Both sell the same company’s products. Choosing between them is choosing the person and the office, not the insurer, so there is no point in ringing both for a comparison quote. You will get the same policy.

Butler-Leavitt Insurance Agency on South Main is the different one. It is part of the Leavitt Group, which is a brokerage, so it places business with more than one insurer. If you want a quote compared across companies rather than a single carrier’s price, that is the structural reason to start there.

BlueCross BlueShield Arizona is not a Cottonwood office. It is the statewide health insurer, and we file it here because that is what it is, not because there is a counter in town. Treat it as a company to contact, not a place to visit.

Which to call for what

For a car or a house, a captive agent and a broker will both quote, and the difference is whether you are comparing one company or several. For health cover, the agents above may or may not handle it; health is its own market with its own enrollment windows, and it is worth asking directly rather than assuming.

For a business policy, ask whether the agent writes commercial lines at all. Plenty of small offices are personal-lines only, and finding that out on the phone takes a minute.
