Dentists in Cottonwood

Cottonwood has more dental practices than any other town in the valley. That’s why people drive in from Clarkdale, Cornville, Camp Verde and Verde Village for appointments.

All ten of the practices we list have hours on record, and every one of them is closed Saturday and Sunday. Three are closed Friday as well, and one is closed Wednesday. The working day is narrow. The usual start is 8 AM and the usual finish is 5 PM, with the earliest opening at 7:30 AM. What that means in practice is that the appointment book is thin by Thursday, and a Friday problem often waits until Monday. If you need time off work for a visit, ask about the earliest morning slot when you call. Those go first.

Not every practice is a general dentist. The list below includes a pediatric practice, an orthodontic practice, a sedation practice and a practice with its own denture lab. Read the listing page before you call, because a general cleaning and a child’s first visit aren’t booked at the same places.

Two things are worth asking every time. First, which insurance plans the practice is in network for, since that changes far more often than the practice website does. Second, how the practice handles an after-hours emergency, given that nothing in Cottonwood is open on the weekend. Dentists in Arizona are licensed by the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners, and that’s where you can check an individual dentist’s license and look for disciplinary history.
