Bars in Cottonwood

If you want a drink after 9 PM in the Verde Valley, Cottonwood is the answer. Among the places we list here with hours on record, closings are at 1 AM and 2 AM. Openings are at 10 and 11 AM. Nothing else in the valley stays open that late. Jerome’s kitchens are shut by 9 PM, and the tasting rooms across town close in the early evening.

Several of these sit on or just off North and South Main Street in Old Town, within walking distance of each other and of the wine tasting rooms on the same blocks. That’s how most people here do a night out. Tasting rooms in the late afternoon, then dinner, then a bar. Park once in Old Town and walk the rest.

Do know the difference between the two. A tasting room pours wine from one maker, usually closes by 7 PM, and is a sitting-down kind of place. A bar has a full license, later hours, and often live music or sports on the screens. That’s why we list them separately on this site.

Weeknights are quiet. The two bars with full hours on record are open seven days, and the other two listings hold no usable hours at all. Weekend evenings in Old Town get busy enough that parking near Main gets tight, and that’s exactly when you’re better off walking the street than driving between stops.
