Coffee shops across the Verde Valley

We list 22 coffee shops across seven of the valley’s towns. Cottonwood and Sedona have seven apiece. Camp Verde, Clarkdale and Village of Oak Creek have two each, and Jerome and Verde Village have one each. Cornville and Rimrock have none we have been able to verify.

Chains and independents. Five of the 22 are drive-through or national names. Starbucks shows up in Camp Verde, Sedona and Verde Village, and Dutch Bros and The Human Bean are both in Cottonwood. The other 17 are independent. That is a bigger share of independents than you’ll find on the valley’s restaurant list. Several of the independents are a coffee counter attached to something else: a bookshop in Clarkdale, a vinyl record shop in Cottonwood, a gelato counter in Jerome.

Check the hours before you drive. Only 11 of the 22 publish opening hours on their own site, and shops in the smaller towns often close in the early afternoon instead of running all day. Driving from one town to another for a particular place? Call first. 19 of the 22 list a phone number.

Four say they offer wifi and five mention takeout, but most do not say either way on their own site, so treat a blank as unknown rather than as a no.
