House and commercial cleaning in the Verde Valley

We list 14 cleaning companies. Six are in Cornville, three each in Cottonwood and Sedona, and one each in Camp Verde and Clarkdale.

Cornville is the surprise. Six of the valley’s 14 cleaning companies are based there, which is more than Cottonwood and Sedona put together, in a town with a much smaller population. Small service businesses often register where the owner lives rather than where the customers are. That looks like what happened here.

Ask about coverage in this trade. Only eight of the 14 say they serve more than one town, and that’s lower than most trades around here. Cleaners tend to work a tighter radius, because the job comes around often and nobody pays them for the driving. If you’re at the far end of the valley from a company you like, ask about the drive before you get attached to the quote.

About licenses. House cleaning does not generally need a contractor license the way the building trades do, so an empty license line on a cleaning listing is the ordinary case and not a gap. Insurance and bonding are the more useful thing to ask about, especially if someone will hold a key to your house.

We still checked every company on this page against the Arizona Registrar of Contractors on 20 September 2026. That lookup works now, and it ran properly. One of the 14 matched a license, a pool service company that does work the state does register, and the registry listed it as active that day. Where a listing shows a license, the number and the status are what the registry said on 20 September 2026.

We match a company by its business name, its trading name or its phone number, so a company with no match here may simply be doing work that needs no license, or may be registered under a different legal name or in another town. Four companies say on their own websites that they are licensed. One of those four is the company we matched. For the other three, that is the company’s own claim and not something we confirmed.
