Schools in Camp Verde

This is the simplest school page in the valley, because the three schools are not alternatives to each other. They are the same ladder, in order.

All three are public district schools. A child in Camp Verde moves through all three, so the real question is rarely which one, it is what each is like at the point your child reaches it.

Where to compare

We hold the grade range, the address and the phone number, and nothing about quality. We are not going to rank three schools that serve different ages.

The Arizona Department of Education publishes a report card for each of them, with achievement, growth, attendance and demographics, several years deep. Reading the same school across years tells you more than any single year’s figure, and it is the comparison a directory genuinely cannot make for you.

The other option in town

American Heritage Academy also has a Camp Verde campus. It is a charter, so it is publicly funded and free, and it enrols independently of district boundaries, usually with an application window. It runs kindergarten through eighth here; the Cottonwood campus of the same academy goes to twelfth.

If you are moving into the area mid-year, ring the district office rather than the individual school. Enrollment, transport and boundary questions are all answered in one call there, and the school office will send you to them anyway.
