Roofers in Camp Verde

A roof is the one trade where the warranty matters as much as the price, because you will not know whether the work was good until it rains hard. Two things separate these four.

Three are Camp Verde companies. Elevated Roofing is on South Longhorn Drive, Harvey’s Roofing is on Howards Road, and Energy Roofers is local as well. All three carry an active state license in our record: Elevated (ROC 311899), Harvey’s (ROC 318928) and Energy Roofers (ROC 215643), each checked against the Registrar of Contractors and active on the date above.

One is not. Jim Brown & Sons Roofing Co. Inc. has a North 59th Avenue address in Glendale, down in Maricopa County. Phoenix roofers do work up here, and a big company can be the right answer for a big job. It is a two-hour round trip for a callback, though, and that is the thing to weigh rather than the company’s size. We have no license number on file for it, which given the distance is worth resolving before anything else.

Metal and tile

Elevated Roofing and Harvey’s both describe metal roofing on their own sites, and Harvey’s prices, installs and guarantees it. Metal is common up here for the reason you would guess: it sheds a monsoon downpour and does not care about a hailstorm.

Before you sign

Roofing needs a permit, so it needs a licensed contractor whatever the price. Look the company up at roc.az.gov yourself, confirm the license is active and that the classification covers roofing, and ask three questions before the deposit: what the workmanship warranty covers and for how long, whether the quote includes tearing off and disposing of the old roof, and who pulls the permit.
